The Consumer Processing Representative responsibilities include preparing or reviewing loan documents/disclosures for accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Representatives will be expected to develop an understanding of consumer loan products, Loan Policy, secondary market investor guidelines and/or various regulatory requirements.

Welcome to FirstBank Incentive – Full-time new hires will receive $500 and part-time new hires will receive $250 payable on the employee’s first paycheck. Certain restrictions may apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ordering and basic follow up on items for loan file documentation

  • Professional and effective communication with title companies, other third party vendors, and internal departments

  • Basic data entry

  • Preparing or reviewing basic loan documents/disclosures to comply with Loan Policy, investor guidelines and/or regulatory requirements

  • Develop familiarity with flood determinations, subsidence searches, payoff statements, title commitments, disclosures, tax verifications

  • Representative will be accountable for meeting department Service Level Objectives

  • Provide excellent customer service to branch officers and employees

  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to work independently

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

  • Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy

Salary commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Position

  • Demonstrate initiative, and a desire to learn the consumer loan process. This is an entry level position; training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications of Position

  • Basic understanding of loans

  • Ability to effectively manage a full workload with little assistance

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft products

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills

  • Effective time-management skills

  • Ability to focus on multiple priorities without degradation in the quality of work produced

  • Comfort in a fast-paced office environment

  • Knowledge of lending regulations such as Reg B, TRID, Reg Z and HMDA is preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and light to heavy traffic. An individual in this position:

• Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day

• Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

• Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms

• Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights

• Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files

• Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone

• Must be able to exchange accurate information
